RotM 1.39 - Ripples and Effects

OOC: This prompt is being answered in her fanon, and part of her relationship with Rupert Giles.

Giles was just dying to open up a magic shop. Poor dear was bored, just sitting about with his little Slayer. I knew it was a matter of time before he and the little miss would get themselves into some sort of mischief. Besides, the girl is too young for that school of theirs, and I'm rather fond of the child, anyway. Pretty little thing.

So, I financed it. I had to do it myself, because it's terribly impractical to as the banks to invest in a magic shop, without telling them details that you really don't want to share. And the unfortunate ripple effect is that when I get home, they're both down in that place, poking around at all of the books and things. I do think Walsingham would have liked Giles. And, perhaps, he would have enjoyed the idea of a magic shop. All of those spells and trinkets of protection.

It's not showing a profit, yet, but like I told Sir Walter, all of those centuries ago, it often takes time to realize the true potential of an investment.

And that would hold true for the people, as well as the business.
